Comic Con Cape Town has announced an impressive lineup of international guests for its 2026 event, including acclaimed voice actors and a beloved Harry Potter actress.
The convention, taking place from 30 April to 3 May at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, will welcome three major anime voice acting stars and Irish actress Evanna Lynch.
Anime voice acting legends confirmed
Christopher Sabat, one of anime’s most recognisable voices, will attend from 1 to 3 May. The American voice actor is famous for bringing to life iconic characters including Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z, Roronoa Zoro from One Piece, All Might from My Hero Academia, and Yami Sukehiro from Black Clover.

Sabat’s appearance holds special significance for South African fans, as Dragon Ball Z played a crucial role in introducing anime to local audiences when it aired on SABC 2. Beyond voice acting, Sabat founded Okratron 5000, a leading audio production company responsible for many well-known anime dubs.
Jason Liebrecht will also attend from 1 to 3 May. He is best known for voicing Dabi in My Hero Academia, Rob Lucci in One Piece, and Beru in Solo Leveling. His performances have earned him a dedicated global following.

Harry Potter star joins the lineup
Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films, will appear from 30 April to 2 May. The Irish actress became a fan favourite for her portrayal of the whimsical and brave character, first introduced in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Lynch is remembered for memorable scenes including Luna’s Quidditch commentary whilst wearing a roaring Gryffindor lion head and her participation in Dumbledore’s Army. Her line “You’re just as sane as I am” remains one of the most quoted moments from the series.

Beyond acting, Lynch works as an author, podcaster and activist, focusing on creativity, compassion and self-expression.
Fan experiences and charity partnership
All guests will participate in panel discussions, autograph sessions and professional photo opportunities. Tickets for autograph and photo sessions are available through Howler and require a valid Comic Con Cape Town 2026 ticket.
Comic Con Cape Town has also announced the continuation of its partnership with the Children’s Hospital Trust as the official charity partner for 2026. The collaboration, which proved successful in 2025, focuses on supporting young patients who organisers describe as “real-life superheroes”.
“After seeing the incredible response and impact of last year’s partnership, extending our support into 2026 was an easy decision,” said Rene Staack, Content Director of Comic Con Cape Town.
The partnership will include fundraising initiatives throughout the weekend, including a charity stand and after-dark events such as Coffee & Comics on 30 April at Truth Coffee at 19:00, featuring international and local comic book artists.
Comic Con Cape Town with Capitec takes place at CTICC 2, proudly hosted by the City of Cape Town. Tickets are available on Howler.
