Local aspiring entrepreneurs will now be able to gain valuable experience to set their ideas in motion.

This follows Swartland Municipality’s new partnership with the global education platform, Startup Tribe.

This is an online platform that provides training and education to local and aspiring entrepreneurs to gain experience and access to information.

This platform provides free training and education in the form of various online short courses. Information and study materials include a wide range of topics, all related to business and entrepreneurship. It provides vital information to all entrepreneurs, especially those who do not have access or funds for formal training. Topics include marketing, how to start a business, profits and losses, how to find clients and how to grow your business, to name a few.

The Startup Tribe was set up by successful entrepreneurs and executives of international companies who are investing their time and knowledge in providing a platform where people across the globe can benefit from their expertise.

Swartland Municipality hosted two SMME (small, medium and micro-enterprises) summits earlier this year, and one of the needs expressed by local and aspiring entrepreneurs is the access to training and information.

The Startup Tribe provides this platform at no cost to all the entrepreneurs who are willing to learn. Swartland is one of several South African municipalities that are benefiting from this initiative.

All residents must do is go to the Swartland Municipality website (www.swartland.org.za) and click on the Startup Tribe logo. This will take you to its very own dedicated Swartland Page. Create a profile and register, all at no cost, and you are ready to access the world of knowledge.

“I want to encourage our residents to make use of this platform,” said Executive Mayor Harold Cleophas.

“This collaboration allows us to share quality information with aspiring business leaders. Grab this opportunity and commit to the work.”
