The high point of a 50-year legacy is taking place in Cape Town on Sunday 12 March, when Dham Holding and MG Productions look forward to welcoming Grammy award winning legends to the Boland area, where they will perform their well-loved timeless classics.

The song list of US group The Temptations is so long and includes such hits as “My Girl”, “Ain’t too proud to beg”, “Get ready”, “Lady soul”, “Treat her like a lady” and so much more.

Over the last five decades they have travelled the world and are excited finally to be in Cape Town.

The Du Kloof Lodge in Du Toit’s Kloof, a new playground for artists, is a popular location for music concerts. It brings people together from all over the world and is a platform for emerging and established artists to perform for a diverse audience.

The concerts will welcome more than 2 000 guests to the majestic lodge. Opening acts include Nur Abrahams, Mujahid George, Loukmaan and Emo Adams.

“It’s always been close to our hearts doing something of this magnitude,” said Loukmaan, “and we’ve performed every song of these legends, so it is such a surreal moment for all of us.”

George added: “We’ve come from small stages at schools to performing at carnivals, knowing we have the opportunity to do this with pioneers we have so much respect for is truly a dream come true.”

Says Abrahams: “I’m still overcome with emotion, for I too have worked with many international acts. But for some reason this is different; this is legacy building for us, and we are just grateful to the people who support us and make moments like this a reality”. Emo says he is thrilled to get this opportunity, but I’m more than happy that we could do this together. We have done many shows together, now we are opening for The Temptations together”.

Enjoy an afternoon listening to world-class musical performances on the lush lawn of Du Kloof Lodge with the mountain as a backdrop. Pack your blankets or camping chairs, food vendors will on site and will sell all sorts of take-away foods, the tea garden will also be on site for some cake and tea. Guests are welcome to arrive at any time, the concert will start at 16:30. Children are welcome, but their entry is not free. Activities for them include the Blinkwater river for the kids to swim in, a jumping castle and more, so pack in a bather.
