More about Cansa
Cansa, established in 1931, is the only NPO with the sole purpose of fighting cancer through prevention and care.
Despite limited resources available and challenges faced by the organisation it continues to strive to be a community-driven organisation.
Within the framework of Cansa’s activities the organisation continues to place emphasis on prevention and early detection of cancer through our health promotion strategies and on caring for the cancer patients’ programmes.
Cansa in the Boland runs comprehensive programmes to increase awareness of the importance of prevention and early detection of cancer.
These services include the hiring of wheelchairs, eggshell mattresses, medical equipment as well as the sale of breast prostheses, meal substitutes and selected stomach products.
Additionally, the organisation also assists with patiens’ and their loved ones mental well-being through support programmes.
