Cricket club receives 15 000 sanitary pads

The Western Cape Spar group has donated 15 000 sanitary pads to the Boland Veterans Cricket Association (BVCA) as part of its dignity programme, which aims to provide girls with free sanitary care. The handover, at the Western Cape Spar Distribution Centre in Cape Town, was attended by various members of the BVCA and the Boland women’s cricket team. In front are Melanie Jooste, SPAR, Varma Kalidindi, BVCA vice-captain and Mazeeda Kamish, SPAR. (Centre) Julia Hoal, senior Boland player, Elsabe van Zyl, advertising manager SPAR Western Cape, Omar Henry, Yolandi van der Westhuizen, Boland senior coach, Zak Barnard, team manager, Gershon Witbooi, assistant manager.
