The V&A neighbourhood of the Cape Town Foreshore is creating a home for artists and creatives from all corners of the world, and is encouraging entries to its 2022 Busking Auditions.
It appeals to African beats, the rhyme of goema and troupes and choirs, and the movements of the rieldansers and performers of other dance forms, the sounds of musicians and poets, feats of circus, balancing acts and magicians.
The stage is open to all. Performers are asked to be at the Waterfront’s Amphitheatre on 25 and 27 August 2022 from 12:00 to 16:00. The artists will have access to the V&A’s monthly on-site workshops that look at performance growth, development, and mentorship assistance.
