Online school admissions for 2024 will open on 15 March this year.
Parents can apply on the website of the Western Cape Education Department, and they should apply to at least three schools and indicate their order of preference on the system. You can apply to more than three schools.
Parents must upload copies of various supporting documents required onto the system when they apply online.
This online application is subject to the schools’ exercising and applying their admission policy.
You must contact the school beforehand to check their admissions policy and requirements before submitting your application.
According to the WCED, schools determine admission policy, and parents must study the admission policy of the school before applying.
Applications close on 14 April. Once you click on submit at the end you will not be able to change the learner details or selected schools. You may choose to save and return to the application, but you must submit before 14 April.
You are advised to print and keep a copy of this online application for your own records. Submission of this online application to a school does not guarantee a place at the selected schools.
