The Swartland Community Cadet Squad (SCCS) will embark on two major endeavours this year.

The non-profit, that caters for the youth and active adult segment of the Swartland from Philadelphia up to Mooreesburg, Riebeeck West and Riebeek-Kasteel, will be competing in two competitions in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal respectively. Since the outreach programme acts mostly as a recreational and social agent on the West Coast, they are heavily reliant on funding to support their dreams, says president of SCCS Chantal Snell.

Therefor they will be hosting a fundraising event in the form of a fun day at GrandWest in Goodwood on Saturday 2 March in an effort to cover their transportation and accommodation costs.

The bus for GrandWest leaves at 09:00 and returns at 17:00; cost for the bus ride is R240 per person.

Activities, food and beverages are at own cost.

To book your spot on the bus contact 078 547 7597.
