Crowley completed his hat-trick of conversions after scoring Munster’s third try himself. The fly-half finished brilliantly following excellent passing movements from his teammates throughout the opening period.

The Stormers introduced their entire forward bench early in the second half. These fresh legs immediately transformed the contest’s momentum in their favour.

Adre Smith scored the crucial opening try through powerful pick-and-drive phases. Matthee’s conversion narrowed the gap as Munster’s Gavin Coombes received yellow for deliberate tripping.
