The Soweto Derby between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs has been rescheduled from Saturday, 25 April to Sunday, 26 April.
The fixture change was made to avoid a clash with the Ultra Music Festival, which will take place at the Nasrec Expo Centre near FNB Stadium on the same weekend.
The decision was taken to address logistical concerns including traffic management, security, and fan experience, with both events expected to draw large crowds to the Nasrec precinct.
The derby remains the highest-profile fixture on the South African football calendar. Pirates defeated Chiefs 3-0 in the first round earlier this season.
The rescheduled match gives Chiefs an opportunity to level the scores in what is one of African football’s most-watched rivalries.
Both teams will now have until Sunday to prepare for the encounter at FNB Stadium.
