Twelve Treverton athletes compete as part of the 87 member Team representing KZN at this prestigious meeting on Saturday the 5th of October.

It is the biggest Inter Schools meeting in SA with 28 schools, varsity and club teams taking part. On Saturday over a 1000 athletes participating and comprising of  the cream of the crop.

Some track events had 3 to 4 heats which means between 24 and 32 participants. Which is huge, and field up to 24 participants. To be placed in the top 8 is remarkable. This meeting is like an unofficial SA Champs.

Here are Treverton’s top achievers:

Girls

Saskia Renzi: U14 in 100m – 2nd in heat 3

Gemma Hickenbotham: 6th discus and Javelin u17

Michaela Licen: 6th in100m and 200m u16

Christin Minnaar: 8th in high Jump u15

Boys

Caleb Jennings: (outstanding)  6th in 800m u14, still u13, PB (Personal Best) 2m 18,06 sec

Trent Freeman: 8th in Discus u15

Kai Broom:  5th in 400m u14 with PB of 55,91 Brilliant at altitude. Breaks school record by 2 seconds

Our star of the day. Ryan Stockil: gold U15 High jump 1,90 – highest jump of all ages of the day. These athletes are trained by Rianne Botha and Travis Pellew, both dedicated coaches at Treverton.
