“As part of the application process for tertiary institutions, Grade 12 candidates are required to write the National Benchmarking Tests. These tests are designed to level the playing field and give an unbiased interpretation of a candidate’s academic ability – irrespective of whether he is a Cambridge, IEB, NSC or IB pupil. Due to the pandemic we are currently dealing with, St Charles College was approached by some of our Grade 12 parents to see whether we could possibly host a NBT sitting on campus. After speaking with the NBT Project, we were granted permission to host a sitting for our own candidates on Saturday, 18 July 2020. We are hopeful that this has made life a little easier for our pupils and our parents. St Charles College is hopeful that this is a service we can offer to our community every year in the future.” – Mr Darren Holcomb (Head of the Upper School)
