This past weekend, Michaelhouse, KwaZulu-Natal, hosted one of the highlights of the winter season – the much‑anticipated home derby against Pretoria Boys’ High School.
Across tennis, golf, squash, hockey, and rugby, our boys contested 37 matches, achieving an outstanding record: 23 wins, 5 draws, and only 9 losses against one of South Africa’s great schools.
Team of the Week: For setting the tone for the weekend and playing some superb hockey on Friday, our Head of Sport’s team of the week was chosen as the 3rd XI Hockey team.
Golf
- 2nd Team: 4–2 victory
- 1st Team: 5–1 triumph
Hockey (13 matches: 7 wins, 2 draws, 4 losses)

Rugby (21 matches: 13 wins, 3 draws, 5 losses)

- 2nd XV: Won 43–12

Squash
- Senior Club: Edged PBHS 7–5 in a thrilling contest.
Tennis
- Top 6 fixture: 5–4 victory, clinched in the final doubles.
The weekend was made even more special by the presence of Old Boys and loyal supporters, whose cheers lifted our teams.
