Paarl’s own Dawn Arendse can now add Mrs South Africa semi-finalist to her impressive resume as she joins the class of 2023. Following the announcement on Friday 3 February, the semi-finalists took part in a jam-packed two-day conference filled with motivational talks, workshops, upskilling sessions, socialising and networking opportunities, and an introduction to the Mrs SA sisterhood. According to Arendse she is “grateful and super excited to start this journey”. Sharing more about her decision to enter, she said: “I just celebrated my 50th birthday, and growing older one takes stock of one’s life. One realises the road ahead is shorter than the one behind, and for that reason one can no longer put off the things one wants to achieve.” As part of her journey she hopes to inspire other women to follow their dreams, no matter their age.
