Three men, aged 20 to 30 years, were apprehended in Prieska for possession of alleged stolen Telkom batteries worth R15 000.
These arrests were made on Monday, 25 November, at about 15:00 during Safer Festive Season Operations, said Lt. Col Sergio Kock, police spokesperson.
Members of the Crime Prevention unit spotted the three suspicious looking men carrying boxes and a back pack. The police searched them and recovered 30 Telkom batteries allegedly stolen from a nearby Telkom building. The suspects will appear in the Prieska Magistrates’ Court soon on charges of possession of suspected stolen goods.
