A local business honoured Nelson Mandela’s legacy with a project at the Deben Primary School.

SilkStar in Kathu spruced up the school’s toilet facilities as a tribute to Mandela’s 67 years of public service to South Africa and the world.

The school was a hipe of activity on 17 July as a team of employees of the steel fabrication and manufacturing company spent the day to refurbish ablution facilities.

They brightened up all bathrooms with a fresh coat of paint.

The team also unclogged blocked drains and pipes, installed steel security gates and replaced broken windows.
