The police in Galeshewe, Kimberley, are investigating a murder case following the death of 53-year-old Draper Tebogo Modiragale.

Modiragale, who resided at 797 Stone Street, Galeshewe, died on Tuesday, 10 January.

Sgt Timothy Sam, media spokesperson, said preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was allegedly assaulted by an unknown person or persons on Monday, 9 January, at an unknown location.

Modiragale succumbed to his injuries at the Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital the next day.

  • In another unrelated case, the police in Galeshewe are investigating the death of 38-year-old Mbulelo Tyala from Galeshewe on Sunday, 1 January.

Sam said preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was allegedly beaten by unknown persons at the corner of Tyala and Klaas Moncho Street on Tuesday, 27 December 2022.

Tyala succumbed to his injuries at the Robert Mangaliso Sobukhwe Hospital on New Year’s Day.
