Put wheels to the dirt to conquer challenging Sungazer

Warick Minkley and Cameron-Jeanne Pitchers were the first man and woman to cross the finishing line in the recent Sungazer 100 Miler cycling race, in 4:52:36 and 6:02:08, respectively. This event, presented by Oryx Endurance Event Management, took place on 31 May, commencing from Bloemfontein. Cyclers had the opportunity to enter for the 160km, 75km or 44km distance, which catered for various levels of challenge and experience on scenic gravel roads. Daniël Stroebel is the winner in the men’s category in the 75km race, and Elizma Kock in the women’s category. In the 44km event, Jade Hastings and Adri Burger are the respective winners in the men’s and women’s category. Visit the Facebook page for more photos, and the website for the full set of results.
