This vandalised traffic sign on the pavement in front of the neglected historical Dunluce House in Lodge Street in Belgravia, Kimberley, is an ironic message to stop vandalism. Thoko Riet, spokesperson of the Sol Plaatje Municipality, said it was concerning that a person would destroy something that is there for a reason. The removal of a traffic sign can lead to serious accidents. “We need to look after our infrastructure as a community. and we urge residents to assist us by reporting these persons to the nearest law enforcement agency. Acts like this is a waste of resources and money that could have been used elsewhere,” said Riet. Photo: Helena Barnard
