On Saturday (20/08) the KFC Mini-Cricket programme returned to the field with a Mega festival which took place across the country, with more than 10 000 kids taking part. This year Mini-Cricket celebrates 40 years of changing lives, with KFC’s involvement for the past 14 years. Andra Ferreria Nel, KFC marketing manager Brand and Purpose, said, “Today’s KFC Mini-Cricket Mega festival was a great example of how sport creates a platform to level the playing field for children and unite communities across the country. We are proud to be a partner in cricket that affords our youth with an opportunity to play the game they love and gives them level playing fields to achieve their dreams.” Action galore was prevalent at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley where amongst other Michaela van Vuuren of Northern Cape Heat Women’s Team assisted the young enthuasiastic players.
