Winter 2022 has officially arrived, scattering snowflakes abundantly in thick layers on mountainsides and showing off with a display of ice crystals on various surfaces in low-lying regions. According to Storm Report SA, very cold conditions were reported on Thursday (16/06), including -6,5 °C at Bloemhof and -5,1 °C in Kimberley. For this week, more snowfall is predicted, with windy conditions. According to reports, even unseasonable rain can be expected over parts of the Northern Cape, Free State and North West.
