Two learners of the Northern Cape High School in Kimberley won five medals at the South African Regional Swimming Championship.

A total of 35 teams from across South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe participated in this annual event, which was hosted at Kings Park in Durban from 30 March to 3 April.

After five days of intense competition, Chloë Ehlers (17) and Vasco Theron (15) qualified for the finals, which saw the top-eight swimmers in each event competing against each other. Chloë won two bronze medals and a silver medal, while Vasco claimed two bronze medals. Both also improved on their personal best times.
