Taekwondo was launched as a sporting code at the Sol Plaatje University (SPU) in KImberley on 18 April. A special guest at the event was the South Korean ambassador to South Africa, Chull-joo Park. Taekwondo is a relatively modern martial art that has become popular all over the world for the role it plays in helping young people develop a strong sense of self-discipline, self-control, and confidence that can help them succeed in other areas of their lives.
