The Diamond Gospel Music Awards will be hosted on 26 September at the Northern Cape Theatre in Kimberley.
It is hosted by Dr Dorothy M, well-known gospel artist from the Northern Cape.
The Diamond Gospel Music Awards was designed to uplift, recognise, reward, and restore the dignity of gospel artists as they do not get the necessary recognition.
This event, which can be entered in numerous categories, is for gospel artists from the Northern Cape. However, it does not exclude artists from other provinces.
“I have been communicating with artists from other provinces and they are excited to visit the Northern Cape for this spectacular event.
“As a resident of Ritchie, I saw the need to establish a platform where artists from my community can take part and share a stage with national artists. This will boost their confidence.
“We are asking business owners and government departments to join hands in this,” Dorothy M says.
