A female-only boxing tournament is set to take place in Kimberley this weekend.
At the Rise of Women in Boxing Tournament at the Mittah Seperepere Convention Centre on Saturday, 24 February, participants from several provinces as well as from Malawi and Zimbabwe will compete.
The event is presented by Moroko Boxing Promotions in conjunction with Boxing South Africa and the Northern Cape Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC).
Boxers will compete in several divisions, such as featherweight, junior flyweight, bantamweight, and flyweight.
The event commences at 17:00.
The entrance fee per child is R50, an adult pays R100 and couples pay R150.
