Young scientists from across South Africa are invited to present their first attempt at research at a district event of the annual Eskom Expo where they can get valuable input from experts to improve their research prior to regional expos.
Eskom Expo started the process of developing young scientists by guiding them through the ideation phase of research, as well as assisting them on writing a research plan and identify potential ethics violations.
This is achieved through a series of workshops along with research and innovation camps so learners can commence with their research for the district and regional expos. Learners and teachers are required to contact a provincial coordinator for registration to take part.
Dates in the Northern Cape are as follows:
- 27 May: Calvinia
- 28 May: Kimberley
- 31 May: Springbok
- 2 June: Postmasburg
- 3 June: Upington
- 23 June: Douglas
To register, send an email to chris@exposcience.co.za or a WhatsApp to 072-661-7251. Registration is already open.
The deadline is 20 May for all, except for the Douglas District Expo which is 15 June.
