The Northern Cape Diamonds failed to win a match during the first weekend of the second and final leg of the Telkom Netball League (TNL).
After a one-month break, 12 TNL matches were played during this part of the second leg which took place from Friday, 2 June, until Sunday, 4 June, at the Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria.
On Saturday, the Mpumalanga Sunbirds beat Diamonds 49 – 26, and on Sunday the Western Cape Tornados beat Diamonds 57 – 38.
The Diamonds are currently fourth on the log of division 2.
According to Netball SA, the Diamonds put on their best performance in the last 15 minutes of their match against Tornodos, finding space and making effective use of the ball up front.
However, the Tornados remained consistent the entire match to secure their victory.
During the first leg in late April, Diamonds secured a second place on the log standing of division 2 after winning all three their matches. Furthermore, in all three matches played then, the Diamonds had a player announced as player of the match.

The league resumes on Friday, 9 June, to be concluded on 1 July.
