This weekend, two disciplines will be brought together in a live sporting event in Kimberley.
Diamond Fight Night, on Saturday, 26 April, will be an ambitious white-collar event, but with a pre-show featuring last-man-standing jiu jitsu bouts.
Eight bouts, between current up-and-coming boxers, along with former and amateur boxers, make for a mix that caters for all combat tastes. Divisions range from lightweight to heavyweight.
AJ Page takes on former stable mate and professional boxer King Hlungwane. Tumelo “Technician” Motseki is a skilled former professional boxer who will take on a real street fighter in Courtney “Street Beast” Julius.
Young heavyweight upstarts Duke Haai will face off against Bret du Preez.
All bouts are four two-minute rounds.ย
The event takes place at the entertainment grounds of the Flamingo Casino. Doors open at 17:00. Tickets can be purchased at the door, or dial 061 454 5040.
