Following the violent theft of property on Saturday, 25 February, at a house in Field Street in Monument Heights, Kimberley, the Northern Cape police’s Murder and Robbery unit are investigating a house robbery case.
Sgt Timothy Sam, police spokesperson, said preliminary investigations indicated that two male assailants gained entrance to the house through a kitchen window whilst the victims were asleep.
In the house, they instructed the victims at gunpoint to open their safes as they were looking for diamonds. The victims complied.
The assailants took off with items valued to more than R300 000 which included a firearm, laptops, jewellery, electronics, and cash.
Underneath are two identikits of persons who are believed to be of interest in the investigation of this case.
