The Vine Academy and Model Farm, the first academy of its kind in the Northern Cape, was launched at the Martin Oosthuizen High School in Kakamas last week.
This initiative, in partnership with the Northern Cape Provincial Government, was implemented after a memorandum of understanding was signed between the school, the provincial Department of Education and Raisins South Africa.
The Vine Academy and Model Farm, a catalyst for sustainable growth, will benefit the learners and surrounding communities.
The model farm will provide learners with an ideal opportunity to connect physical and farming activities.
Through the academy, those who cannot attend tertiary institutions will also be given the opportunity to further their education.
