Quality cricket and good sportsmanship turned out to be the overall winners at the 2022 Pro20 Night League that was presented by the Staats Primary School in Kimberley.

The semifinal and final matches were played by the participating primary school teams at the Kimberley Oval on 4 November and 5 November.

The results of the weekend’s games are as follows:

  • In the plate final, Staats faced off against the Kimberley Junior School (KJS). Staats quickly showcased their immense talent and achieved stunning results. Staats took home the 2022 plate.
  • In the cup final, Newton Primary School played against Seodin Primary School. Newton succeeded in winning the cup.

The following boys excelled throughout the series and achieved the following:

  • batsman of the series – Neil Steynberg (Eureka Primary School);
  • bowler of the series – Kieren Adams (St Patrick’s CBC); and
  • player of the series – Faizaan Kajee (Newton Primary School).

Throughout the series, all schools involved competed against each other to get an opportunity to play in the shield, plate, or cup final.

Staats thanks the Northern Cape Cricket Union for the opportunity to let the boys play at the oval, as well as all the schools, coaches, and sponsors including Spur, the Northern Cape High School and NTLO.
