Faheema Wookey of the Northern Cape High School in Kimberley is number four on the top 20.

She is also the best Northern Cape learner in Accounting and Computer Applications Technology. She obtained seven distinctions.

This year, Faheema will commence with her degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Johannesburg

She believes consistent hard work, good time management and a strong support system are part of her recipe for success.

“I am definitely going to miss being around my friends all the time and the good relationship I had with my teachers,” she says.

“But I am looking forward to studying towards a career which I am passionate about and enjoy. I am also excited to be in a new environment and to learn to be independent.”

Faheema wants to contribute to a world which is fully powered by solar energy, and is not reliant on coal to produce electricity.
