To enhance farming in the Northern Cape, Kumba Iron Ore’s Kolomela Mine donated R100 000 towards the hosting of an agricultural seminar by the Northern Cape Dorper Club. The seminar, at the Postmasburg Showgrounds, focused on information and training needs of farmers in general, but also specifically on emerging Northern Cape farmers. Emerging farmers from all over the province were in attendance, and each delegate received an information bulletin with valuable farming advice. The presentations included lectures and exhibits by esteemed agricultural scientists, breeding experts and farming specialists.
