The Northern Cape police are requesting the public’s help in providing information that could assist in a murder investigation.
This comes after the naked body of 17-year-old Kgatlego Mere was discovered in a veld near Diepkloof, Olifantshoek, said Lt. Col. Sergio Kock, police spokesperson.
Kock said a passer-by alerted the police on Monday, 3 July, at approximately 13:45 about the body in the veld.
The deceased had bruises on her face and an autopsy will be done to determine the exact cause of her death.
The parents of the deceased last saw her at their home in Olifantshoek on Friday, 30 June.
