Assmang’s Khumani Mine was announced as the winner in the highly competitive category for Gender Mainstreaming and Disability.
This was announced at the recent 12th annual Gender Mainstreaming Awards, dedicated to celebrating excellence in gender equality and inclusion.
Khumani was nominated in four categories, showcasing their commitment to gender equality and inclusion in the workplace.
The award as the winner in the highly competitive category shows Khumani’s dedication to fostering an inclusive environment that supports and empowers all employees, regardless of gender or ability.
Irene Da Gama, head of department Human Resources at Khumani, said winning the category is not just an honour, but also a validation of continuous efforts to create an inclusive workplace.
