With the grand opening of the Kathu Community Campus on 5 February, Training Portal has officially planted its flag in this thriving mining and industrial hub.

The newly launched Kathu Campus is the gateway for individuals looking to sharpen skills, businesses aiming to upskill its workforce, or a community leader eager to drive change.

Offering tailored training solutions
As a partner in skills development, the Kathu Campus offers accredited learnerships and support, custom course development, and a wide range of tailored training solutions.

Its approach is built on a proven model to create accessible opportunities and foster local talent.

Amongst others, industry-specific accredited training is offered, including in mining, safety, compliance, and specialised skills tailored to industry demands of the area.

The Kathu Campus also offers a dedicated space where residents can access computers, receive expert resume assistance, apply for jobs, and enhance digital skills.

Furthermore, power-packed courses are presented which cover essential skills like entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and business fundamentals. Its tailored training programmes focus on the unique needs of Kathu’s key industries to ensure that its workforce stays ahead of industry trends.

Thanks to a partnership with PH Attorneys, locals can receive free legal advice; and Q Tyres and Fire-Quip, Training Portal’s longstanding partners, affirmed their commitment to channeling their skills development into the Kathu Campus.

On 3 March the first batch of learners will commence their training journey.
