The Santam Landbou Women’s Programme returns to Bredasdorp this September with a three-day lineup of inspiration, entertainment and community – and there’s room for everyone.

NAMPO Cape 2026 brings its celebrated women’s programme back to Bredasdorp Park from Wednesday 9 to Friday 11 September, and this year it’s bigger than ever. Under the theme “Together we grow” the programme has moved into a larger tent with an outdoor screen to meet growing interest from across the Overberg and beyond.

While the programme is curated with women in mind, all NAMPO Cape attendees are welcome to join – and with the calibre of speakers and performers lined up, there’s every reason to.

Wednesday, 9 September: Beneschke Janse van Rensburg opens proceedings before handing over to Sumarie Jordaan, who leads a discussion on shifting perspectives – a timely conversation about how we see and respond to change. Country musician Chris Else takes the stage with live music and the day closes with Womanhood and other dramatic stories presented by Mel die Storieverteller alongside Damien Beer.

Thursday, 10 September: Seeds and Seafood: Lynette Beer presents “Seeds of Inspiration”, promising practical and motivational insights for women in agriculture and rural life. Dawid Engelbrecht brings a taste of the coast to the farm with a Seafood on the Farm demonstration and the day ends on a high with a live performance by popular Afrikaans artist Brendan Peyper.

Friday, 11 September: From Struggle to Celebration: Friday opens with an interview with Koben Hofmeyr about his remarkable story, I Walk Again — a testament to resilience and the human spirit. Franna Benadé provides the musical interlude, and Willem Botha brings the programme to a close with Get Ready, It’s the Weekend, sending NAMPO Cape-goers off in style.

Where and When: The programme takes place in the Distinctive Choice tent on the lawn in front of the BKB building at Bredasdorp Park. NAMPO Cape 2026 runs over four days, from 9 to 12 September, with expo hours from 08:00 to 17:00 Wednesday to Friday and 08:00 to 14:00 on Saturday. Tickets are available via OpenTickets at R110 for adults online or R120 at the gate, with school children at R60 and pre-schoolers free. Tickets are not day-specific, so one ticket covers any of the four days. NAMPO Cape has become a cornerstone event for the Overberg – a place where farming communities gather, ideas are shared and rural life is celebrated. This year’s women’s programme, with its blend of storytelling, music and practical demonstrations, promises to be one of the highlights.
