FREE STATE – The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) in the Free State has launched an urgent manhunt for Gregony Deck (35), who is wanted in connection with allegations of trafficking in persons, kidnapping and rape.

The offences are alleged to have taken place in Bloemfontein between 1 and 4 August.

According to the Hawks, the suspect fled before law enforcement officers could arrest him and remains at large.

Authorities are appealing to members of the public to assist in locating Deck. Anyone who knows his whereabouts or has information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Nkagisang Machuisa, on 079 525 1456.

Information can also be reported anonymously via the Crime Stop hotline on 08600 10111 or through the MySAPS App.

The Hawks have assured the public that all information received will be treated in the strictest confidence.

The investigation is ongoing.
