6″ Bobby Alexander tjought he had scored the first try of the match but the nippy number nine knocked on the ball as dove to ground it.
8″ George Whitehead take aim for a penalty to give Griquas the lead. And slots it. 3-0 to the Griquas. He adds three points to his 66 points tally for the season.
14″ Darren Adonis scores the first try as Jay Cee Nel grabs an interception and almost runs it in on his own but he offloads to Adonis who still had some 15m to go. 3-7. The Pumas take the lead.
21″ Griquas keeping possesion well but The Pumas defence holding firm. The men from the lowveld make soke bone crunching tackles until Mnombo Zelendaba grabs a wayward pass from Bobby Alexander to power over and give Griquas the lead again. 10-7.
25″ Clinton Swart hits a penalty to bring the score to 10 a piece.
34″ Clinton Swart kicks another penalty to give the Pumas the lead. 10-13.
10-13. Half time score the Pumas lead by a narrow margin.
Both side knocking the ball on at the try line. The Pumas defence is something to behold the Lowvelders get off the line with incredible speed to stop the Griquas from gaining momentum. The Griquas on the other hand keep absorbing the pressure and hold on to the ball but struggle to find away past the Pumas defence. Pumas struggling specifically with their line outs with Griquas continuously disrupting the Lowvelders ball.
Second Half underway.
58″ Whitehead levels the scores once again with a penalty. 13-13. The Pumas defrnce forcing the Griquas into broken play, disrupting their rhythm.
69″ George Whitehead attempts a 55 metre penalty to gibe Griquas the lead. He slots it unbelievable. 10 minutes left and Griquas lead. 16-13.
72″ Clinton Swart levels poceedings once again with a penalty of his own. 16-16.
74″ Following a massive 50-22 kick from George Whitehead, the Griquas set up a strong driving maul, showing patience as the Pumas seem to have stopped it. But the peacock blues find sone go forward and JanconUys rumbkes over the line for a try. 23-16.
