BETHLEHEM – Five suspects are being sought after a jewellery store robbery in Bethlehem on Thursday, in which items worth millions of rands were stolen.
The Phuthaditjhaba Serious and Violent Crime unit has appealed to the public for assistance in identifying and locating the suspects.

Police spokesperson WO Mmako Mophiring said the five suspects entered a jewellery store on Muller Street in Bethlehem at about 09:00 on Thursday 8 October.
According to Mophiring, one of the suspects pretended to be interested in purchasing a ring for his wife to gain access to the store. Once inside, the suspects accosted and tied up two employees before stealing jewellery, including rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings, which they placed in a khaki bag.
The suspects, who were wearing blue overalls, fled the scene in a blue Audi sedan. The vehicle was later found abandoned in the Morelig suburb of Bethlehem, along the N5 road towards Paul Roux.

No arrests have been made. A case of business robbery is being investigated.
The two employees were not harmed during the incident.
