The attention of club rugby fans shifts to the super league playoffs on Saturday 5 September.

All three Super League A teams from the Stellenbosch area will feature in Bottom 8 clashes after they finished in the lower half log.

Stragglers Van der Stel-Evergreens will travel to face Kuils River, SU Maties will host Unimil and Franschhoek will be on the road for a clash against Brackenfell.

In Super League C, stellar seasons for Pniël Villagers and Kylemore will see them battle it out for glory in the Top 8, while Raithby Universals will vie for honours in the Bottom 8.

On Saturday, all three teams will host their opponents, with Pniël hosting Eerste River, Kylemore locking horns with Gardens and RU welcoming Atlantis.

All the playoffs will kick-off at 15:00.

Meanwhile, after a regional break this past weekend, teams in the Northern League will return to action on Saturday, with two derbys scheduled in the Stellenbosch area.

Struggling Cloetesville will give it their all when they host league leaders Blue Stars United, while Blakes will welcome Excelsior in the other derby.

Stellenbosch-Coronation, who have found great form over recent weeks, will be on a bye, while Faure will host Gordon’s Bay Pioneers in Macassar.
