The much-anticipated Celebrate Life fundraising dinner returns next month, offering an unforgettable fine-dining experience in support of Huis Horison, a Stellenbosch residential care centre for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Hosted at Clara’s Barn at Vergenoegd Löw Estate at 18:00 for 18:30 on Monday 3 August, the event brings together some of the region’s most celebrated chefs, exceptional wines and live music for an evening that is as meaningful as it is memorable.
The exclusive sit-down dinner caters for only 80 guests, creating an intimate atmosphere where guests can enjoy a five-course gourmet menu, with each course paired with carefully selected estate wines.

Leading chefs
This year, guests will feast together at The Long Table and have the rare opportunity to interact with the chefs, who will personally present their dishes throughout the evening.
Celebrate Life features an outstanding collaboration of leading chefs: Fabio Daniel (Rust en Vrede); Matt van den Berg (Mertia); Jess van Dyk (Post & Pepper); Marthinus Ferreira (Jordan); and Michelle Theron (Vergenoegd Löw).
They are generously donating their time and expertise, supported by sous chefs, to craft a world-class dining experience for a meaningful cause.
Founded in 1974, Huis Horison is a residential and sheltered-employment centre specialising in the holistic care of adults with a primary intellectual disability. They are a vulnerable group in communities and require a safe environment to call home.
Keeps centre going
Huis Horison not only satisfies this need, but also recognises that all its residents are precious, striving to give them a fulfilling and meaningful life.
The human dignity of everyone is recognised through unconditional acceptance, inclusivity and courage.
Funds raised through Celebrate Life ensure the continued sustainability of the organisation, enabling it to remain a safe and nurturing home.
Since its inception in 2011, the event has grown into a distinctive fundraising event, hosted at renowned fine-dining restaurants and estates in the region and consistently showcasing the best of the region’s culinary talent while raising critical funds for charity.
