The murder case of media personality Warrick Stock, widely known as DJ Warras, has been transferred to the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg after investigators completed their work.
Victor Mthethwa Majola (44) and Armando Joaquin Pacula (25) appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday on charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Both men remain in custody ahead of a pre-trial conference scheduled for 18 June.
Stock was shot dead outside Zambesi House in the Johannesburg central business district on 16 December 2025. Police investigations revealed the killing was a targeted hit linked to disputes over security operations at the building, for which Stock’s company, Imperium Ops, held a contract for security and auditing services.
Majola, identified by police as the alleged orchestrator of the killing, was arrested at a hostel in Soweto shortly after the murder in December 2025. Pacula, a Mozambican national identified as the alleged gunman, was arrested during an operation in the Marathon informal settlement in Primrose on 30 January.
Pacula faces an additional charge for contravening the Immigration Act.
The National Prosecuting Authority has confirmed that the indictment has been finalised and the matter transferred to the High Court given the seriousness of the offences.
“The NPA reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that justice is served and that the matter is prosecuted efficiently, fairly, and without fear, favour or prejudice,” said Magaboke Mohlatlole, NPA communications officer for the Gauteng Division.
The pre-trial conference will determine the trial date and address any outstanding procedural matters before the case proceeds to a full hearing.
