Woman nabbed for drugs

A 23-year-old woman was arrested and drugs seized when members of Grabouw police, together with Overberg Flying Squad and National Intervention Unit, executed search warrants in Grabouw around 19:40 last Friday (23 September). The suspect was found with 453 tik straws (worth an estimated R11 500), 51 quartered mandrax tablets, 32 half mandrax tablets and 13 whole mandrax tablets valued at R1 300 in her possession. The suspect appeared in the Grabouw Magistrates’ Court on charges of possession of tik and mandrax on Monday (26 September).
