Club rugby was in full swing this past weekend, from one-point thrillers to clinical displays of dominance.
Here is a breakdown of how the local boys fared โ and what to expect when the clouds (hopefully) clear next weekend.

Helderberg travelled to False Bay for a Super League A clash and emerged with a narrow 39-38 victory.
In a game that swung like a pendulum, Berge showed immense grit to secure the win that sees them climb to sixth place on the log with 16 points. False Bay, despite the defeat and a healthy points difference, slipped to eighth. The league remains dominated by Maties, at the top with a perfect 30 points from six games.

Macassar is officially the team to beat in Super League B, after they clinically dispatched Hands & Heart 32-21 to maintain their flawless record of five wins from five games. The MC Boys sit perched at the top of the log with 24 points.
Meanwhile, Young Peoples delivered a masterclass against St George’s, claiming a convincing 35-13 win. The result leaves the Lulu Boys languishing in 14th place, close to the relegation zone.

It was a weekend of mixed fortunes for the local Super League C sides. Sir Lowrians put on a dominant display to crush Caledonian Roses 35-11 and remain in the hunt, tied in fifth on 16 points alongside Eersterivier and Atlantis.
Eersterivier, meanwhile, handed Strand United a 50-5 drubbing, leaving United rooted to the bottom of the standings alongside Strand RFC. Raithby rounded off the weekend with a hard-fought 27-21 win over Langa โ their first victory of the season.
