Committee to fight crime spiritually formed

Somerset West police are elated to announce the establishment of the Somerset West Spiritual Crime Prevention Committee. Committee members, all from various churches and denominations, look forward to working alongside police officers and under the leadership of Sergeant Suzan Jantjies to prevent crime. According to Jantjies, joining forces with religious leaders was essential in widening the reach in a unified fight against crime in communities. The committee is also committed to assisting community-driven projects, youth outreaches and prayer meetings. It comprises, among others, Pastor Dane Thomas (chairperson) and Wendy Grages (deputy chairperson), who were elected at a meeting held at the Hillsong church on Wednesday 21 September.
