A magical celebration of nature and the imagination awaits theatre lovers in the twilight hours on a mid-summer evening at a Stellenbosch wine farm this December. A Summer Night’s Dream is an enchanting family-friendly show, which will be staged outdoors in a magnificent natural amphitheatre on the farm. As night falls, a troupe of weird and wonderful characters will gather to create a world of fantasy, bringing the landscape alive with colour and sound. Somerset West: The Country Craft Market celebrates 40 years of bringing the very best handcrafts to the Helderberg basin. From very humble beginnings in November 1983, it has grown to what it is today, still maintaining the same standard of craftmanship mandated from the start. “We have seen very many crafters come and go,” reads a media statement, “a fair number taking their craft to the next level and becoming businesses, and a good many remaining into ripe old age, still enjoying being creative, and the opportunity to sell their handmade wares to appreciative visitors.” New crafters joining regularly add a vibrant atmosphere.
