The good form of All Saints RFC continued over the weekend, which culminated in a 26-10 victory over Langa RFC at the Helderzicht Sports Grounds on Saturday (4 June).

The win on home soil placed the local lads among the top three teams in the Super League B, just behind Hands & Heart and local rivals Helderberg.

The hosts took a full five points from the game after comfortably running in four tries to the visitors’ two, and dominated both halves.

In front of a packed crowd, it was outside centre Jeandré Lukas, wing Ethan Moses, scrumhalf Junaid Sylvester and loose forward Wade Sinclair who touched down for the home team. Cheslyn Jack and Dylan Scholtz shared the kicking duties to secure 26 points. The visitors ran in two tries, one in each half, but were unable to convert and put pressure on their opponents.

In all, it was a good day for the men in black, as their second team (19-14) and under-20 (35-5) also secured wins over their Langa counterparts.

In Super League C, Morningstar got the better of Strand United (19-8), while Strand RFC fought their way to a 28-20 over Kraaifontein. Strand RFC now sits comfortably on top of the log with 39 points. In the Metro League, Gordon’s Bay Pioneers dominated in a 50-0 victory over Imiqhayi RFC.
