Officers executed a search warrant at a property in Sixth Street, Rusthof, at 17:00 on Saturday (21 March). During the operation an unlicensed Stoeger Cougar 800F pistol, eight rounds of 9mm ammunition and 21 packets of crystal methamphetamine (tik) were discovered. The suspect was arrested on charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm, ammunition and illegal drugs. He was expected to appear in the Strand Magistrates’ Court on Monday 24 March.
