THURSDAY 26 MARCH

Somerset West: Harvest season at VERGELEGEN ESTATE is drawing to a close, with early indications from the cellar pointing to excellent fruit quality and balanced ripeness. To celebrate this time of abundance, guests are invited to join the winemaking team for a relaxed harvest sundowner from 17:00 to 20:00. The celebration will take place at the estate’s hilltop cellar, renowned for its 360˚views of the vineyards and surrounding Helderberg and Hottentots Holland mountains. Guests will be greeted with bubbly and canapés before enjoying a delicious harvest table, accompanied by live music. Limited tickets cost R950 per person; book at www.vergelegen.co.za.

Somerset West: Make the most of the late-summer weather at the COUNTRY CRAFT MARKET at Southey’s Vines from 09:00 to 14:00. With Easter approaching, the sale features a special selection of religious items and icons alongside a renowned collection of quality books. Stellenbosch: MIDDELVLEI WINES holds its Easter Brunch and Easter Egg Hunt from 09:30 to 11:30 on Sunday 5 April, promising a morning of delicious farm-style food, laughter and Easter festivities and delight for all ages. Guests can enjoy a relaxed farm-style brunch, featuring comforting favourites with a playful Easter-inspired twist. The menu includes egg and bacon roosterkoek and hot cross bun jaffles, creating a delicious blend of traditional Easter flavours and nostalgic farm cooking.
